Pitch
Primorph is the Darksynth project of Welsh producer Gareth Lumb.
Produced entirely “in the box” Primorph sequences strong electronic music sensibilities with organic & emotive melody driven writing. Although Gareth will forever be exploring and pushing the boundaries of his sound; detuned synths, strong rhythmic themes and the use of negative space all feature prominently. Combining this with his unique musical vocabulary, he welds together otherwise diffuse musical outputs into a unified style. This style tips its cap to some of Gareth’s biggest influences - early video game music , TV show theme songs, and film scores - basically the sounds he consumed throughout his youth in the late 80s and early 90s. Nostalgia undeniably rears its head on more than one occasion. Primorph's self titled debut album sees a move away from the brooding undertones of prior EPs and towards more driving rhythms and a fetish for melody.

Primorph Full Biography:
Primorph was incepted in February of 2017 with debut EP "Light Our Darkest Hour" released to much critical acclaim. 2017 saw another EP released along with two remixes and several appearances on compilation albums leading to a growing public interest in the music. A brief stint with Timeslave recordings saw the release of the follow up EP "Emergence" complete with a physical run of cassettes. This partnership also saw Gareth achieve a lifelong dream of having his music pressed to vinyl for Timeslave's "Futuresounds Vol. 1" compilation where Primorph featured alongside a stellar cast of Synthwave artists. The debut album, originally scheduled for December 2017 was delayed until April of 2018 due to the decision to go independent as an artist and due to Gareth's creative differences with himself.
